Students who achieved a Distinction or High Distinction in the Australian Mathematics Competition were awarded their certificates at the recent school assembly.
Higher achievers in the Australian Mathematics Competition were recognised at the recent school assembly.
At the school assembly last week, the school community acknowledged the outstanding achievements of students who participated in the 2025 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC).
As one of the largest mathematics competitions in the world, the AMC challenges students to draw on creative thinking, apply complex reasoning skills and solve unfamiliar problems under pressure.
Participation alone is commendable; however, several students achieved results that place them among the top performers nationwide.
Distinctions, awarded to students who place approximately in the top 20–25% of the country, were earned by the following students:
Year 7
- Aoife Mc.
- Sanjena P.
Year 9
- Chloe A.
- Aneira B.
Year 10
- Chloe R.
Year 11
- Acsah N.
A High Distinction, awarded to students who place within the top 3–5% nationwide, was achieved by:
Year 10
- Riana A.
Well done to all students recognised this year! They are commended for their dedication, perseverance and impressive mathematical achievement.
