A group of Year 11 students recently visited the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to explore career pathways in the health and sport industries.

The visit provided students with the opportunity to participate in a range of interactive activities designed to showcase university study and future career options. Students undertook biometric testing, learnt how physiotherapists strap hand injuries, practised wound dressing techniques used in nursing, and listened to a baby's heartbeat in the womb.

The hands-on experience offered valuable insight into disciplines such as nursing, sports science and midwifery, while also highlighting the diverse courses available at UTS. Students gained a deeper understanding of the skills required in these professions and the pathways that can lead to rewarding careers in the health sector.
