Year 10 Visual Arts students in class this month.
Year 10 Visual Arts students are exploring the human form in motion, building technical skill and creative confidence as they prepare to capture the energy of dance in action.
From the very first week of term, the Yr 10 Visual Arts students have immersed themselves in an exciting and creatively challenging exploration of the Human Form in ‘Motion and Space’. This dynamic unit has encouraged us to look closely at how the body stretches, balances and moves - and how artists across art history have captured this energy.
Beyond technical growth, the art studio has become a vibrant and collaborative space. Amid focused learning and lively group discussion, new friendships have formed and fresh artistic perspectives have emerged. It has been a pleasure to watch our fellow students not only strengthen their artistic skills, but also develop the confidence to express their own unique interpretations of the human form.
We are very much looking forward to the next stage of drawing, where we will observe and capture the Yr 10 Dance Ballet students and Mrs Flynn, as they Pirouette, Chaînés and Chassé across the dance floor.
