Student Christmas artworks are creating a colourful display outside the school.
Catherine McAuley students are bringing some festive cheer to those walking or driving along Darcy Road as their Christmas artworks are displayed along the fence for all to see.
The Religious Education Department ran a Christmas Story Art Competition with students invited to submit a 2D artwork that shows the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of Jesus and the message of peace, hope, joy and love. Students chose to focus on different elements in their designs with some drawing pictures of the Nativity scene, others the angels and shepherds or Mary and Joseph’s journey and others looking at symbols of light, peace and faith.
The winning artworks were printed onto Christmas cards and 18 artworks have been printed and displayed on the fence along Darcy Road.
Well done to all students who submitted an artwork and to those who have been selected.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS ๐คฉ The school is proud of the incredible achievements of Catherine McAuley students, who continue to shine across a wide range of pursuits! ๐คธโโ๏ธ Amira M. (Year 7) has delivered outstanding performances in gymnastics, competing at Level 5. Amira placed 1st on Beam and Vault at the recent NSW State Trials, along with an impressive 2nd place All Round. An amazing effort! ๐โโ๏ธ Annisha R. (Year 10) showcased her athletic talent at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships in Melbourne, placing 1st in Under 16 Hammer Throw and 5th in Discus. ๐งฎ Geeah M. K. (Year 7) has demonstrated exceptional mathematical ability, excelling in the Mathematics Olympiad (Senior Division). Congratulations to these students! ๐ ๐ ๐

HSC RESULTS! ๐ Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on their HSC results! 119 Band 6 results and 10% of students with an ATAR above 90! Seven students have been named as Top Achievers in Course (these students achieved one of the highest places in a HSC course or VET examination). Emily G. has achieved 1st in Course for Studies of Religion I; Joy M. has achieved 2nd in Course for English Standard; Isabella G. has achieved 6th in Course for Studies of Religion II; four students have achieved in the top ten for Business Services with 3rd in Course to Niamh M., 4th in Course to Isabella L., 6th in Course to Alannah S. and 9th in Course to Joaquina J. Niamh. M. has been placed on the All Rounders List. This means Niamh achieved the highest possible band in 10 or more units. Catherine McAuley has 69 students named on the Distinguished Achievers list (these students have received a Band 6 in at least one course). 68% of courses studied were above the State average and students achieved a band 4, 5 or 6 in 87% of all exams undertaken. Two students have been nominated for ArtExpress and one student selected, two students nominated for OnSTAGE and one student nominated for SHAPE. Well done to the Class of 2025! The school is very proud of all that you have achieved!
