One of the student displays at the Year 10 Global Connections travel showcase.
Year 10 students studying the subject ‘Global Connections’ put together a travel showcase last week highlighting iconic physical locations around the globe.
As part of the Global Connections course this term, Year 10 students have explored iconic physical locations around the globe, diving deep into the natural processes that have shaped landscapes over millions of years.
From mountain ranges to coastal landforms, natural springs to expansive national parks, students have investigated the geomorphic processes that make our world so dynamic and diverse, and brought them to life in a travel exhibit.
As well as the natural processes that formed these sites, the students also used the exhibits to tell the story of human connection; how people have interacted with and sometimes altered these environments. Students considered the cultural, economic, and environmental impacts of tourism and conservation on these stunning destinations.
Each student showcased a creative display of their unique destination. They constructed replicas of sites, with interactive maps and immersive experiences, to share their locations with the many visitors to the exhibition. Well done to Year 10!
