Lifted Unleashed 2025

Catherine McAuley students who attended Lifted Unleashed at Rooty Hill last Friday, 16th May 2025.

Organised by Catholic Schools Diocese of Parramatta and Catholic Youth Parramatta ‘Lifted Unleashed’ was held last Friday, 16th May 2025. The day saw secondary students from across the Diocese join together to celebrate faith, hope and the joy of youth.

The Years 9 and 10 students who attended have written some reflections below:

I absolutely loved being part of the LIFTED Unleashed program on Friday. It was such a fun experience connecting with students from other schools, reflecting together, and growing closer to God. My favourite part was singing worship songs and getting the chance to talk and meet new people, which I really enjoy.

Today was more than just an excursion, it was an eye-opener to what God's love can be to me. He's not just my father in Heaven, but my guide on Earth, that's always been there watching over me.

Attending Lifted was an inspiring experience! There were great speakers, like Sister Rosie Drum, who shared some really meaningful messages about faith, purpose, and staying true to your values, which helped me reflect on my own journey. There was lots of uplifting music, and a very strong sense of community. I came away feeling inspired and more connected to my faith.

I am not really good with socialising, but I felt comfortable when talking to new people at Lifted and making new friends, I think because of the type of activities we did. It was very exciting.

It was an amazing day building on my relationship with God and knowing what it is to have hope and to hope in the Lord, especially as it's the Jubilee and we are called to be ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. We had great reflections on what it means to use digital platforms in a way that shares positivity and it was great having conversations with students from other schools and getting to hear what they had to say. I loved getting to know how Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati honoured God in their lives and how through their stories we are inspired to Love, Hope and Trust in God's plan.
