The Junior Jazz Dance Company joined other Catholic school students in the Diocese of Parramatta for the Captivate Dance Festival on Monday this week. Held at St John XXIII Catholic College, Stanhope Gardens the students performed twice in both a matinee and evening performance.
The Junior Jazz Dance Company is made up of Years 7, 8 & 9 students. They were invited to perform at this event after gaining 3rd place at the Arts Factor event held in September. Five students were also invited to work with the renowned Australian choreographer, performer and teacher Sarah Boulter, in a Dance workshop also held on the day.
Dance Teacher Ms Flynn said the students danced beautifully in their performance.

CAPTIVATE is open to all school students in the Diocese of Parramatta from Kindergarten to Year 12. The program provides learning and performance opportunities that connect students with Australia’s leading creative arts professionals and their wealth of experience and networks.
More information about CAPTIVATE is available on the CSPD website
