The 2025 school theme, ‘Strive For The 5’, was launched by the School Captains at the assembly on Wednesday, 30th October.

The ‘5’ represents the five Mercy values of Justice, Excellence, Hospitality, Courage and Integrity. “It is a way for us to implement these values into our everyday lives at school,” Emily and Kaitlin, School Captains, told the students at the assembly.

The slogan which will be used is ‘In Mercy We Thrive, Strive For The Five’ and will be accompanied at school assemblies with the chant:

Student Leaders: In mercy we thrive
All: Strive for the five
Everyone: In mercy we thrive, strive for the five

The School Captains unveiled the new theme logo and the Student Leaders together demonstrated the new chant.

“The slogan demonstrates how we must actively work as a community to achieve our common goal of living out these values,” the School Captains said. “The main symbol for our theme is high fives as a way of celebrating and encouraging positive action in our school.” The School Captains showed the assembly a launch video and together the whole school community joined together for the first time to ‘Strive For The 5’.

The Student Leaders put together a launch video to show the new school theme.
