On Friday, 14th June all Year 7 students attended an Activity Day at Vision Valley.
Students participated in a range of activities which included canoeing, vertical playpen, orienteering, archery, mountain bike riding and sugar gliding. The students approached the day with enthusiasm and a willingness to “have a go”. New friendships were forged and existing ones strengthened.

Year 9 students of Miss Grow made meringues last week and today Year 10 students of Mrs Maher made sugar cookies for their unit ‘Food for Special Occasions’.

On Thursday last week Year 8 English students had the opportunity to watch a live performance of ‘Flowers For Algernon’, a science-fiction short story they have been studying. 💐 Written by Daniel Keyes, the story centres on a developmentally disabled man who is given the opportunity to undergo a surgical procedure to increase his mental intelligence. The students said they found the play very entertaining and it was interesting to see their English unit looking at growth being explored through the main character’s intellectual and emotional journey.

IT’S JERSEY THURSDAY 😃 Today is the first time the Year 11 students (who have now started Year 12 coursework) have been able to wear their Class of 2025 school jersey. The design was chosen by the students and can be worn on school grounds every Thursday. Spot Miss Radisavljevic in the photo who graduated from McAuley Class of 2018 and is now a PDHPE and Religious Education Teacher at the school.
