Robotics was one of the demonstrations on display at this month's AI STEM incursion.

An AI STEM incursion was held this month to introduce students to the world of artificial intelligence.

Ten Catherine McAuley students from Years 10 and 11 joined with students from Parramatta Marist this month for an engaging AI STEM career incursion delivered by neuranext.ai. Neuranext Artificial Intelligence teaches school students about the science and technology of AI.

The session introduced students to the world of artificial intelligence through live, hands-on demonstrations including computer vision, face and object detection, autonomous vehicles and quadruped robotics. The students also explored generative AI tools and discussed the ethical implications of AI-generated content.

This incursion sparked curiosity and critical thinking, helping students better understand the real-world impact of AI and the many career opportunities emerging in this field. Students walked away inspired, better informed about the future of AI and more confident in pursuing STEM-related careers.
