Congratulations to Shenaya N. and Irene M. who have been awarded for their entries into the 2024 Diocese of Parramatta Kids’ Voices Art Competition. This is the first art competition for children run by the Diocese and is part of their commitment to zero tolerance for any form of abuse or harm to children or any person.
Students were asked “What makes you feel safe in your Church community?” and were invited to share their voice using their artistic skills. Shenaya was the winner of the People’s Choice for Group 2 and Irene was awarded an Encouragement Award. As a winner Shenaya has won a $250 gift card from Eckersley’s Art and Craft or a Red Balloon voucher, as well as the opportunity to attend a Winner’s Art Workshop facilitated by Elaine Butler of Fun Time Art.
Both students will attend an awards ceremony next month.

CLASS OF 2024 🥰 The Year 12 students were presented with a graduation gift from the school at the Year 12 final assembly on Wednesday, 25th September 2024. Each Year 12 student was presented with a bracelet. This bracelet was designed by members of staff as part of the Mercy 5 Staff Formation Project. The bracelets recognise the Irish heritage of our patroness Venerable Catherine McAuley as each bracelet is engraved with ‘trocaire’, the Irish word for Mercy. Ms Banks, Director of Catholic Identity and Mission, told the students gathered at the assembly, “As the Year 12 graduates wear their bracelets may they remember the words from our school hymn, The Circle of Mercy - ‘That the Circle of Mercy is timeless’. May they journey through life living out the mercy values and continue to strive for higher things”.

Congratulations to Ryan House who are the winners of the Catherine McAuley House Cup for 2024! 🩷🩷🩷 The House Cup was presented at the Year 12 Farewell Assembly held in the Morley Centre on Wednesday, 25th September. The House Cup is awarded to the House who has collected the most House points throughout the year. Points are obtained in a number of ways including House competitions, sports carnival results and merit certificates and awards received by students throughout the year. The Catherine McAuley Graduation Mass was held last night, Tuesday 24th September 2024 at St Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta. Students were joined by their families for a 'comfortable cup of tea' in the Cloister at the Cathedral following Mass. ⛪️

The Year 12 students were reminded of the Mercy value of hospitality as they were presented with their graduation gift of a cup and saucer before forming a ‘Circle of Mercy’ for the last time and proceeding out of the Cathedral to the recessional hymn Circle of Mercy.
