The Catherine McAuley Strong Sisters Group are preparing to perform at the upcoming Diocesan Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Conference.
The Catherine McAuley Strong Sisters Group are preparing to perform an indigenous dance at the upcoming Diocesan Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Conference to be held in Leura during October.
The students are working with specialist dance teachers from CAPTIVATE to help them prepare for this performance.
The Strong Sisters have joined with the Djuramin Dancers, indigenous students from Caroline Chisholm College, who will perform together.
The dance will be performed at the opening ceremony of the conference on Tuesday, 13th October and will take place at a sacred women’s site.
