Clare and Dobson Houses are fundraising this term for the Mercy Works Timor Leste Chicken and Egg Nutrition Appeal.
The Hospitaller Sisters of Mercy are saving lives in Timor Leste by supplying egg-laying chickens and eggs to the Mercy Works’ Maternity Clinic. This clinic provides care, education and conducts outreach work to the women living in the remote villages of the Maucatar region. The eggs help improve the nutritional status of mothers and young children by providing extra protein.
At lunchtime on Wednesday Clare and Dobson ran a very popular Krispy Kreme stall in Mercy Square. Donuts were available for $2.50 with all money going towards the Appeal. Look out for more fundraising from Clare and Dobson on Mercy Day and a Father’s Day Stall coming up.
