Catherine McAuley students came together last term to raise money for the Parramatta Women’s Shelter and succeeded in raising $4000!
Led by students from Mercedes and Ryan Houses the school held a number of fundraising events throughout the term including a Mother’s Day stall, a pizza lunch and a very successful lip sync battle.
The Lip Sync Battle was a school favourite considering the restrictions which had previously been in place in relation to singing and dancing. Staff and students battled it out in front of a packed auditorium with the student audience all donating a gold coin to watch the fun.
The school looks forward to donating these funds to the Parramatta Women’s Shelter, a crisis accommodation and outreach support service for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
