Catherine McAuley was one of only two schools to attend the Parramatta RSL ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Prince Alfred Park, Parramatta.
Victoria C., School Captain and Tanya F., Year 12 represented the school and were accompanied by Ms Grigson, Assistant Principal and Mr Grumley, English Coordinator. Victoria and Tanya took part in the ceremony and laid a wreath at the Memorial.
The whole school community acknowledged ANZAC Day on the first day of Term with a commemoration led by Year 11 Modern History students Emily O. and Mary F. over the school PA system.
Students were reminded that this year marks 104 years since the end of World War I. The Reveille, a call on the trumpet played to signal the start of the day for the ANZACs was played over the loud speaker followed by The Last Post and a minute of silence.
