AROUND THE CLASSROOMS ➡ Year 10 Design & Technology students have been learning the art of book binding this term, creating their own books completely from scratch - from how the spine is joined to the cover, to the choice of materials and finishes. 📚 📚 The results have been impressive, with students taking different directions in their manufacture. Mr T. Munro said it was very interesting to see the creativity on display, especially through the use of unique fabrics and textures to make each book more personal and useful. Although the content of the book was not a large part of the task, many students did take the opportunity to fill their book with recipes, travel highlights, memories or planners and calendars.

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 Congratulations to Galadriel in Year 12! 🎓 Last Thursday, Galadriel graduated from her Human Services course in Nursing with South Western Sydney Health at Western Sydney University, Campbelltown. Over the past two years, Galadriel dedicated her school holidays and many extra hours to complete work placements and learn about assistant nursing. Through completing this course Galadriel has learnt resilience, teamwork, and above all, compassion. Well done, Galadriel – what an incredible achievement! 👏 👏 👏

HSC DRAMA NOMINATION 🎉 Congratulations to Year 12 student Rohma K. who has been nominated for possible inclusion in OnSTAGE, the HSC annual showcase of HSC Drama performances and individual projects that will be held at the Seymour Centre in February. Rohma has been nominated for her Drama work ‘Laughing Wild’.

AROUND THE CLASSROOMS ➡️ Year 10 History students had a powerful learning experience last week, hearing directly from Mr and Mrs Cosgrove of the St Mary’s Vietnam Veterans Association. Mr Cosgrove shared his personal story as a soldier, giving students a deeper understanding of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War and the impact it had on soldiers and their families. A truly memorable lesson in living history.

CLASS OF 2025 🥰 The countdown is on! Year 12 students have kicked off their tradition of hanging a graduation banner in Coolock Court. This year’s Netflix-inspired theme counts down the ‘episodes’ of the Class of 2025, with the series finale set for Graduation Day. 🍿

👏STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS👏 Well done to Year 11 students Cyrille R. and Jessica C. on being selected to participate in the Step Up Program at the Australian Catholic University. Cyrille will be studying Business 📈, whilst Jessica will dive into Criminology 🕵🏻 as part of this fantastic opportunity to complete two first-year university units whilst still in school. They will begin their studies during the upcoming school holidays. We wish them both all the best as they take this exciting step towards their future.

👏STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS👏 A huge congratulations to Year 11 students Taylah C., Anabella G. and Ashleigh N. for being selected to take part in the Step Up into Teaching Program at the Australian Catholic University 👩🏫. This program gives students in year 11 a chance to experience university life by completing two university-level teaching units, giving them a head start on their tertiary journey whilst also building valuable skills. They will be commencing their studies in the upcoming school holidays. We wish them well in their studies!
