Catherine McAuley Westmead has a Bring Your Own Device Program for Years 7-12 students. This program will enable students to have access to reliable technology that will assist and support their learning.
The program encourages students to be independent learners able to work in a flexible environment that is inquiry-driven, thought provoking, reflective, and empowering. Having their own device will ensure that students are using the same technology at school and home.
Specifications
Year 7 students are asked to have a Macbook Pro or Macbook Air.
The model type and memory capacity is your choice. If you already have a Macbook, Macbook Air, or Macbook Pro which your daughter can use, this will be suitable provided that it has at least 8GB of RAM, 250GB of storage and MacOS 10.14 or a higher operating system version installed. Students in other years are able to bring in the laptop of their choice once their Macbook has reached end of life.
