Congratulations to Dobson House, winners of the Catherine McAuley House Cup for 2025!
The House Cup was awarded at the Year 12 Farewell Assembly on Wednesday, 24th September. Each year, the Cup goes to the House that has earned the most points across a range of activities, including House competitions, sports carnivals, and student merit certificates and awards.

YEAR 12 FAREWELL ASSEMBLY ๐ฅฐ Today the school celebrated Year 12 students at their Farewell Assembly! ๐๐ Highlights included: ๐ The House Cup winners announced โ congratulations Dobson House! ๐ฅ The McAuley Shield results revealed โ victory to the teachers! ๐ค The School Captains gave their farewell speech and received flowers from the incoming Captains. ๐ธ The outgoing Student Portfolio Leaders were also thanked with flowers. ๐ Each Year 12 student received a special Mercy bracelet as a gift from the school. ๐ฌ The much-anticipated Year 12 video was shown. ๐ถ And finally, Year 12 joined together to sing the school song โ perhaps for the second last time, with Graduation still to come tomorrow! Congratulations, Class of 2025!

YEAR 12 GRADUATION MASS โ๏ธ At tonightโs Graduation Mass, each Year 12 student received a cup and saucer - a simple but significant reminder of the Mercy value of hospitality. โ Each student was called forward by their Homeroom Teacher to receive their graduation symbol from Principal Mary Refalo. To conclude the ceremony, the cohort formed a Circle of Mercy around the congregation, joined by the Year 12 Wellbeing Team, before making their final exit from the Cathedral.

Catherine McAuley has been chosen to be part of the newly launched Parramatta Youth Alliance, an initiative empowering young people to have a voice in shaping local and state policies. At the inaugural meeting last week, hosted by State Member for Parramatta Donna Davis MP, Year 10 students from across the electorate heard from the Hon. Jihad Dib MP and discussed key issues such as education, mental health, employment, housing, climate action and community safety.
